Re: Post of Junior Clerk
I wish to apply for the post of Junior Clerk you have advertised in today’s issue of the “Sun”.
I am eighteen years old. I obtained six passes at the “0″ Level in the last G.C.E. examination. I have now taken a six months’ course in typewriting and Bookkeeping at the City College of Commerce in this city. I am confident that the knowledge that I have already acquired in the two subjects can be put to good use in any clerical work in a Commercial firm.
I enclose copies of some of my testimonials, and would refer you to the Principal of Convent School, Peel Street, Malacca.
