In reply to your advertisement in today’s issue of the “Guardian”, for the above-mentioned post, I hasten to offer myself as an applicant.
I am 20 years old and was educated at Howard School, Malacca, where I passed the G.C.E. ‘0′ Level Certificate Examination and obtained a distinction in English.
Since leaving school, a few months ago, I have attended typewriting classes and my speed is now forty words per minute.
I am very anxious to get into a business firm in order to fit myself for a business career, and should my application be successful, I will do my best to please you. The salary I expected is RM500 for a start.
