With reference to your advertisement in the “Eastern Review” this morning, I wish to offer myself for the post of clerk. I have had two years’ experience in the main office of Amtrak Books, a well-known publishing firm, and they will, I am sure, be so good as to testify to my qualifications for the position I desire.
I am twenty-five years old, punctual and methodical, and can give you the highest references as to my character, etc., if required. I am receiving RM600 a month at present.
I should therefore be obliged if you would grant me an interview, so that I might have the opportunity to convince you of my suitability for the post.
